Redstor was a winner at IT Europa’s European IT & Software Excellence Awards, held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, in Bayswater, London.

The judges selected Redstor from five other finalists for Best Customer Engagement Model by a vendor in the Remote Working Solution category.

Chief Marketing Officer Gareth Case and UK Sales Director Rob Buckton collected the award from sponsor John Ansell and comedian Simon Evans, who hosted the presentation ceremony at Europe’s most prestigious IT Channel Awards.

Redstor CEO Paul Evans said: “We are absolutely delighted to win this award for customer engagement. Our experience as a reseller in the past has undoubtedly given us an intimate knowledge of what our partners need.

“But it’s not just about providing category-leading IP that delivers the smart, safe and scalable management and protection of customer data in multiple environments – all from a single application. It’s about making everything else simple and easy for our partners so they can turbocharge their business with Redstor.

“That means giving them dedicated marketing resources, online training and certification and the capability to onboard customers in minutes – with no on-prem hardware – so they have everything required to start bringing in revenue straight away.”

Redstor is also in the final of two categories at this year’s Storage, Digitalisation & Cloud Awards – AI Machine Learning Innovation and Vendor Channel Program of the Year – having been listed among the Security Software Vendors of the Year at the PCR awards last month.

Winners of the SDC Awards will be announced at Leonardo Royal St. Paul’s Hotel, London, on November 24.

The UK-headquartered, cloud-native SaaS business’s success is built on more than 20 years of channel experience, unique intellectual property and a host of new technology alliances, including Microsoft and Google.

Having invested heavily in developing a feature-rich app, purpose-built for the channel, Redstor now offers unprecedented, flexible, cloud-native, hardware-free protection for the broadest range of data types and sources.

This ranges from support for Kubernetes, the No. 1 platform for managing containerised workloads, to backing up Salesforce, the leading customer relationship management solution.

With Redstor  you can view data in one place. Whether it is stored on laptops, servers, databases or in VMs, cloud-native infrastructure, such as Azure, or in a rapidly growing range of SaaS apps, partners can manage data quickly and easily without switching between different solutions and consoles.

In a hectic start to the year, Redstor also unveiled artificial intelligence to detect and remove malware from backups, increasingly a prize target for cyber-criminals not content merely to go after live data.

Redstor’s new machine-learning model utilises community insights and shared resilience against zero-day threats, providing partners and their customers with an additional layer of protection to backed up data.

In the first four months of this year alone, Redstor has more than doubled the number of Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace users protected.

Those partnering with Redstor for the first time when it pivoted to become a 100% channel-focused business at the end of 2019, have been quick to reap the rewards of simplified management and margin-rich recurring revenue. Their business with Redstor has since grown 65%.

Examples of how MSPs have been able to scale rapidly and address cyber-security concerns with Redstor were detailed in an IT Europa Whitepaper.

Described as the partner’s partner in a recent article by TechMarketView, the UK analyst and advisory firm, Redstor is growing in appeal thanks to its multi-tenanted, unified application that has been purpose-built for MSPs and service provision.

Rapid to deploy with zero upfront costs, Redstor also offers a uniquely efficient method of recovery with a proprietary technology – InstantData™.

In the event of a disaster recovery scenario or changing business demands that require the migration of a machine, users can stream restores on demand, eliminating the need to wait for a full recovery which occurs seamlessly in the background. This reduces Recovery Time Objectives from hours to seconds for near-zero downtime.

Developed specifically for the cloud, Redstor prides itself on protecting data, applications, systems and organisation productivity against loss, theft and downtime as well as providing a conduit for data portability.
