Why you need third-party Salesforce backup
Salesforce will do an excellent job of ensuring your data is safe and available but can’t help recover it if:
- A new employee accidentally deletes a new account with all its records and
- A developer unintentionally modifies key metadata for configuration settings, custom fields or dashboards
- Bad code or integration issues with an app have an adverse impact on tasks, events and contacts
- A rogue employee is found to have deleted critical data so long ago that recovery is no longer possible
- Hidden ransomware has slowly made changes that stretch back over weeks or months
