Redstor Golf Day - June 27th 2014
On Friday, June 27th, Redstor welcomed approximately 70 customers and partners to it’s third annual golf day at Windlesham Golf Club, Grove End, Bagshot, Surrey, GU19 5HY. Attending were a range of users and resellers of Redstor’s range of cloud services including Online Backup, Safeguarding, Effective Endpoint Management and Remote Backup for Schools.
The day provided attendees with the chance to enjoy golf, with a friendly atmosphere, amongst peers, whilst competing for prizes, on a course which is fast becoming known as one of the finest in Surrey. The day began with an enjoyable buffet breakfast. This was followed by a very brief welcome presentation before attendees were given the opportunity to warm up, taking advantage of Windlesham Golf Club's facilities. For the few non-golfers in attendance, lessons were on offer and these were taken up Redstor, customers and partners.
The winning team on the day was Brian Evans, Leon Moore, Steve Whiting and Glen Day who walked away with some great prizes. Additional prizes were awarded for 2nd and 3rd place teams, best individual score, longest drive and closest the pin.
Following the golf, attendees enjoyed a fantastic 3-course meal served from the very impressive Nineteen Restaurant. The day concluded with a charity auction which was held to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and drinks at the bar. Just under £3,000 was raised through the auction of various items donated by Redstor’s partners including Arrow ECS, Attix5, CentraStage, Securus and Windlesham Golf Course. Although looking like it might pose a problem in the days preceding the event, the weather was very cooperative on the day with a few sunburnt faces in evidence during dinner and drinks.
