We are pleased to announce that we have donated a brand new iPad 2 as part of the fund raising efforts by the Silicon Cup committee. Redstor were one of many teams who participated at the Silicon Cup over 2 days, racing other organisations in the IT industry in Cowes, Isle of Wight. The EMC Silicon Cup is the largest sailing regatta for the IT industry. Founded in 2000 and now in its twelfth year, the 2011 event featured 450 competitors in 35 boats competing in three sailing categories – all aiming to raise money for the Cup’s three nominated charities: the NSPCC, Dreams Come True and the Jubilee Sailing Trust. £50,000 was raised in total including raffle ticket proceeds and this will be distributed to the 3 charities mentioned above. Dan Zywicki from Exceedra was the lucky holder of the winning raffle ticket that won him the iPad 2.
