On Nov 27th at 3pm, Redstor and CentraStage hosted a webinar focused on the new patch management functionality available within the IT Asset and Device Management tool, CentraStage. This webinar, following on from the hugely popular webinar hosted by Staffordshire LA, explored: – CentraStage‘s new patch management features – How to fully utilise CentraStage to best support schools – Security and governance made easy – Best practice recommendations – Lastly, an update was provided on automating the upcoming SIMS SQL migration with CentraStage. The webinar also featured Paul Rawnsley of Somerset County Council who outlined some of his experiences in using the technology as well as some of the challenges ahead in terms of changes needed to comply with changing SIMS requirements. Some very powerful figures which illustrate the effectiveness of CentraStagein automating tasks were shared by Paul during his segment in reference to an earlier SQL migration project from 2005 to 2008.
