“You’ve been a Redstor Legend Brian and have played a massive part in Redstor’s transformations over the years” Paul Evans former Redstor CEO
After an incredible 20 years at Redstor, Brian Evans is moving on to aid and arm BackupVault one of Redstor’s long time valued partners as Sales Manager.
Brian has been a Redstor ‘Legend’ and played a massive part in the company’s transformation over the years. Brian summarised his journey, “I have seen first-hand the transformation of Redstor from vendor-independent storage VAR to a Managed Service Provider (MSP), to the first-class backup and recovery vendor they are today”.
We asked Brian, “what have been some of the most rewarding experiences of your time at Redstor?”
“The most rewarding experiences have been centred around end user and partner relationships, I have enjoyed building trust and working with some very valuable people over the years and forging relationships. My customers are my friends, I have even been to some of their weddings”.
Brian has worked with hundreds of end users and partners over the years, forming relationships with many of them. He has been a pillar of support to Redstor and has been invaluable in building out the company’s network of trusted partners. He has also been highly customer service-focused, in the early days, driving backup disks to schools hit by ransomware attacks, and providing customers with a concierge service.
“Brian – what can I say? Thanks for all of your support with everything since I first ventured out of schools, ensuring all of our customers were always kept safe – from driving backup disks to schools hit by a ransomware attack, through to being completely customer service focused. You are 100% the reason we brought into Redstor“ – Richard Harris – Head of service – Class Technology Solutions LTD
What lessons have you learned that you can take with you to your new opportunity?
“I have accrued a wealth of experience at Redstor, from knowing the product inside out, listening to Customers and understanding their pain points, business challenges and understanding why they are looking to make the move. I believe I will be able to bring BackupVaults customers value not only with the Redstor solution but the wealth of SaaS applications BackupVault and their sister company BackupLABS can offer”
We asked Rob Stevenson – CEO from BackupVault what it means to have Brian onboard.
“Having worked with Brian for many years at his time at Redstor, I was always impressed at how he listened to customers and was genuinely keen to solve their problems and concerns around protecting their data. Having Brian onboard at BackupVault just takes a weight off my shoulders knowing that the sales side of business is now in a safe pair of hands. The fact that he has been in the industry for over 20 years is also a huge advantage “
BackupVault have been a longstanding partner of Redstor, we are positive that Brian will have every success moving from an award-winning Backup and Recovery vendor to BackupVault an award-winning cloud backup and disaster recovery provider who provides business with secure, reliable, and cost-effective cloud backup solutions and services. They are trusted by thousands of organisations worldwide, ranging from small business and schools to public sector clients and large enterprises. Their solutions are designed to be simple and easy to use and are fully scalable to meet the needs of any business.
It’s safe to say we will miss Brian, his truly individual personality, but we are pleased he is not going far. We wish Brian all the best in his new endeavours at BackupVault, we look forward to seeing their collective success’s and thank him for his 20 years of service at Redstor!
