Symantec cease Backup Exec.cloud service
Following the news that Symantec will cease selling Backup Exec.cloud subscriptions and renewals on January 6th 2015; many have been left in a quandary about what to do with their data. Exisiting users of Symantec’s cloud must fully migrate their data to an alternative service before their subscription expires, or at the latest by January 6th 2015. Symantec gave the key motivators for terminating the service as its lack of mobile and content sharing features, saying that the service was never designed with these in mind and would be unable to compete with competitor products.
