Southern Education Forum
On Thursday, Redstor welcomed a selection of our education partners and resellers to our 8th annual education forum held at ericho farmin Oxford. The primary focus of the event was for Redstor to network with our customers and encourage networking between the attendees themselves. The beautiful barn with a wood burning fire was a perfect setting to kick off proceedings accompanied by a hearty welcome breakfast of tea, coffee and bacon rolls.
Presentations began with a look at key trends in the education market in 2013 and beyond as well as highlighting some upcoming challenges including end of life for Windows XP, Office 2003 and a variety of other applications. The morning featured presentations on existing services including our backup for schools service; RBUSS, Safeguarding, Centrastage and also introduced new services including Virtual DR. In addition, interactive breakout sessions were organised enabling attendees to discuss their thoughts, challenges and ideas amongst industry peers and with Redstor product managers.
Following on from lunch, an afternoon of clay pigeon shooting was enjoyed. Attendees were split into teams to participate in a 6 round shot event using Jericho Farm's all weather pitches. All experiences were catered for, from the most practiced shots to the very beginner; and the happy faces at the end of the day told us everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Prizes were awarded at the end of the day, with Mark Valentine winning the award for best shot with a score of 58/60. Impressive! Prizes were awarded to the best team overall, as well as a booby prize which added to the good atmosphere at the event. Initial feedback suggests the day was informative and enjoyed by all.
Images from the event are now on uploaded to our Facebook album. Please feel free to browse these at your leisure.
