Redstor's Corporate Relay Challenge success

Redstor's Corporate Relay Challenge success

posted in Redstor ● 4 Mar 2014

As most of us were curled up in bed at 8am on Sunday morning, various members of Redstor’s team were up and raring to go for the Reading Half Marathon Corporate Relay. 3 teams, made up of 12 of Redstor’s finest, braved the cold weather to run the Corporate Relay challenge, running around 5k each on average.

Over 50 teams entered the relay challenge and Redstor came 2nd, 5th and 15th respectively with a top time of 1hr 33mins. Our teams were made up of all ages and abilities and a great team spirit was demonstrated throughout the day, helping to create a thoroughly enjoyable event.

We would like to take the time to thank those of you who donated to our chosen charity, BIBs, as you helped us raise over £300 which made the day very worthwhile.  Receiving an email from the BIBS treasurer prior to the event to wish us luck filled the team with extra motivation, as its great to see the money being used for such a worthwhile cause! “We wanted to say thank you for fundraising and wish you good luck! At BIBS we really appreciate the money and work that people like you do to help us and the ward. Recently we have refurbished the parents rooms, and are currently in the process of raising funds for new hot cot mattresses, new monitors and new UV lamps”

Once again, thank you for all the support.
