EU Data Protection Reform

Only 1 in 100 cloud providers meet proposed EU Data Protection reform requirements

The EU General Data Protection Regulation will be passed this year and will come into effect in early 2015. If your business is based in Europe, has operations in Europe or even if you simply hold data relating to European citizens, this will affect you and have a significant impact on your business and the cloud services you can use.

Should the proposed law come into effect, the penalties for failure to comply are far reaching and current proposals include a fine of up to 5% of global turnover or €100 million, whichever is higher. Not something to be taken lightly for an organisation of any size!

Redstor is proud to be within the 1.2% of cloud providers that offer customer managed encryption keys and we guarantee your data will never leave the UK. We store your data in full accordance to EU law and are ISO 27001 and 9001 certified, rest assured, your data is safe with us.
