It has been revealed that the number of those affected by the Adobe data breach in October has increased from 3million to 38million. The hackers managed to obtain customer details including ID’s, passwords and card details and are yet to be caught. Adobe claim all customer information was stored in an encrypted format, including passwords, however this is not the case for password hints. Unfortunately, many password hints were found to be the exact same as the password and in cases where the hint was not the same, the data was stored in such a way that means it is possible for the hacker to decipher the exact length of the password.
