Geographically local services
Redstor has invested heavily in data-centre facilities over a number of years to provide services with enterprise-level availability and resilience on a global scale.
Partners include Microsoft, Amazon AWS, Equinix, Internet Solutions, Teraco and Everest with data continuously mirrored from a primary centre to a secondary centre. For redundancy, should one of these platforms fail, another platform can be made the primary or secondary.
Data centres have enough fuel onsite to provide 24 to 48 hours of emergency power, using backup generators, and Redstor has guaranteed fuel-delivery contracts to replenish those supplies. Routine daily, weekly and monthly maintenance ensures optimal performance without interruption to data centre services.
The primary facility is connected to the peering fabric of LINX, one of the largest metro area internet exchanges in Europe. This, combined with 23 independent carriers on-site, offers Redstor customers unparalleled connectivity. Redstor's partnership with multiple carriers provides dense reach throughout the UK and beyond.
Border Gateway Protocol allows Redstor to peer seamlessly with the internet. Our ISP dual-homed connectivity provides the scalability and redundancy our customers demand. This includes on-net connectivity to more than 130 data centres globally, a global fibre-based network with high speed and low latency, and more than 1,000 network points of presence globally.
Redstor's data centres are protected by multi-zoned, dry-pipe, double-interlock, pre-action fire suppression as well as Very Early Smoke Detection and Alarm (VESDA). All diesel generators and tanks are kept separate.
